Houten plank met daarop drie snaren: twee bourdonsnaren en een melodiesnaar. De melodiesnaar begint op de kwint en heeft onderliggende diatonische metalen frets met een toonbereik van twee octaven, met toegevoegde leidtonen naar de kwinten .
